Shaping today’s champions, developing today’s and tomorrow’s leaders!
Do you want to develop your skills and advance your career across diverse sectors and at various levels?
Background
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the UN sexual and reproductive health agency that works to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. To empower young people, UNFPA Somalia is launching the Somali Youth (SoYo) Fellowship Programme which aligns with the United Nations’ Youth Strategy that calls on UN agencies to “increase impact and expand global, regional and country-level action to address the needs, build the agency and advance the rights of young people in all their diversity”. UNFPA’s Youth Strategy also seeks to promote the rights and well-being of young people.
The SoYo Fellowship Programme also supports the Government of Somalia’s priorities on youth development; a development priority that seeks to empower young people through providing youth employment, economic and financial empowerment, fostering entrepreneurship etc.
