UNFPA is working in Somalia towards delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled.

Somalia is emerging from over two decades of instability and fragility. It is beset with fragmented and weak governance and institutional systems, including poor health, statistical and legal systems. The country remains one of the largest and most complex emergencies in the world, as it still experiences protracted conflict in addition to natural disasters such as drought, floods and cyclones.
