Delegates from all parts of Somalia representing the Gender Based Violence (GBV) working group and taskforces gathered with participants from UN agencies, Local and international NGOs to look at the newly adopted GBV strategy 2014-2016 and to build censuses around the major issues listed below:

•Improving the effectiveness among all the GBV working groups and task forces.

• Discuss strategic next steps in enhancing their respective coordination functions.

• Promote the alignment of interventions towards the reduction of GBV.

• Facilitating timely response to survivors.

Given the variety of the actors involved in the implementation of the GBV working group participants
decided to establish a common understanding on the expected deliverables and agreed that each
coordinating body must effectively implement the respective Terms of References (ToR) as established
within the framework of the Protection Cluster.
