Key highlights included presentations and demonstrations from startups and youth-led initiatives making significant strides in sectors such as agriculture, employment, and tailoring. Notable among these were Hilal Technology, Dalsan Agricultural Services, Dayah Employment Center, and Dumarkaab Tailoring, all beneficiaries of the Dalbile Youth Fund. This funding has enabled them to expand their operations and create more job opportunities for young people.

In her remarks, UNFPA Somalia Representative a.i. Dr. Mary Otieno acknowledged the importance of skills development for Somali youth. "The theme for this summit, ‘Job Creation Through Education and Skills Development,’ is both timely and critical. The future of Somalia hinges on the opportunities we create for our youth," she said.

Delegates and guests, including UNFPA Somalia Representative a.i. Dr. Mary Otieno, and Minister of Communications & Technology of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohammed Adam, listen to proceedings.

"Somalia is rapidly transforming in the field of technology today. The country's youth are greatly benefiting from global technological advancements, making significant contributions to the nation," stated Mr. Mohammed Adam, the Minister of Communications & Technology of the Federal Government of Somalia.

The summit underscored the crucial role of technology and innovation in peacebuilding and development efforts in Somalia. It also emphasized the importance of supporting youth-led ventures to foster economic growth and stability in the region. By bringing together stakeholders from various sectors, the event facilitated valuable networking opportunities and discussions on how to further enhance the tech ecosystem in Mogadishu.
