UNFPA handover reproductive health kits to Ministry of Health of the Somalia Government on the 15th of May 2013.
The Director of reproductive Health unit of the Somalia Government, Ms. Fardawso Sugule, underlined the Reproductive Health needs of remote areas and districts and thanked UNFPA for taking great responsibility to deliver the reproductive health kits.
More than 7815 beneficiaries are expected to benefit to improved comprehensive emergency obstetric care services and the access to modern contraceptives. During the event the following reproductive health (RH) kits were handover to the Ministry of Health in Puntland:

RH kits # 11 designed for providing comprehensive emergency obstetric care for 6000 deliveries;

RH kits # 4 expected to meet contraceptive needs of 1815 women;

RH kits # A/B, including reusable and disposable equipment for clinical delivery assistance.
The RH kits will be distributed among health facilities and hospitals providing maternal health services in Garowe, Bossaso, Galkayo and Qardho regions.
