On December 1 2024, Ibraheem Abdulkadir Mahmood, Project Manager at KSRelief, visited the Federal Ministry of Health (MOH) warehouse in Somalia, where essential neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) equipment—such as incubators, radiant warmers, and monitors—is stored. These resources are crucial for enhancing newborn care and helping to reduce mortality rates across the country. As part of his supportive supervision efforts, Ibraheem also toured several key Implementing Partner centers, including the Fistula Centre in Daynile and the Hodon BEmoNC, both of which are supported by UNFPA and funded by KSRelief. These centers play a pivotal role in providing vital reproductive health services to pregnant women and girls, contributing significantly to improved maternal and neonatal health outcomes in the region. KSRelief's generous funding and ongoing support have been instrumental in ensuring that these critical services continue to be available, directly impacting the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in Somalia.
