Under the direct supervision of the UNFPA Gender/GBV specialist, the National Coordinator- GBVIMS will work closely with the other GBVIMS Coordinators in the 3 zones of Somalia.
The GBVIMS will oversee the daily operations of GBVIMS Task Force; coordinate, monitor, guide reporting and implementation of the capacity enhancements priorities of GBVIMS for DGOs and regional coordinators. In addition, the Programme Coordinator-Gender and GBVIMS will provide technical support to the gender unit as well as support the Joint UNFPA UNICEF Programme to Eliminate FGM and GBV AoR operations as required.
