The UNFPA country programme in Somalia seeks to improve the overall quality of life of the Somali people. The programme contributes to the three outcomes of the United Nations Integrated Strategic Framework namely; (i) Somali people have equitable access to basic services in health, education, shelter, water and sanitation, (ii) Somali people benefit from poverty reduction through equitable economic development and decent work and (iii) Somali people live in a stable environment, where the rule of law is respected and rights-based and gendersensitive development is pursued
